    Daniel Mezick (Key Note)

    Management consultant, author & keynote speaker

    Coaching executives and teams since 2006, DANIEL MEZICK is a ScrumAtScale Trainer, an expert on business agility, and an author of three books on organizational change. A frequent keynote speaker at industry conferences, Daniel’s list of clients include Capital One, INTUIT, Adobe, CIGNA, Pitney Bowes, SIEMENS Healthcare, Harvard, and dozens of smaller enterprises.

     

    His first pioneering work on culture was published in 2012. THE CULTURE GAME described 16 specific patterns that extend Agile ideas across the organization, beyond software. In 2014 he built upon those patterns and formulated the OpenSpace Agility method. “OSA” is a flexible template and engagement model for enabling lasting change in your organization. Daniel is the primary author of the OPEN SPACE AGILITY HANDBOOK , published in 2015 with several co-authors. In 2018 Daniel co-authored INVITING LEADERSHIP: Invitation-Based Change in the New World or Work™. Upon publication, this book reached #1 on the Amazon bestseller list in the Organizational Learning category.

    In June 2019 we can expect Jurriaan's first book 'Formule X - Hoe zorg je voor extreme versnelling in je organisatie'. This book is written together with Rini van Solingen, who we got to know best from his legendary book 'The power of Scrum'. The first publication is in Dutch; English is expected soon there-after. Jurriaan's talk on Wednesday evening will of course be in English.

     

    So in effect, when attending Agile Amsterdam 2019, you will be one of the first ones to learn from their key insights.

    Teun has a lot of experience in complex companies with many different brands and platforms. He combines this with a great passion to bring people together around challenging goals.

    Henk van der Schuur is a leader in software product development. Currently, he works at Schuberg Philis, a company with no managers and full self-organization.

     

    Henk is passionate about topics such as agile software production, continuous delivery, DevOps, and the cultural, organizational and technological changes associated with these approaches.
     

    In his talk, Henk will share insights and lessons learned from executing an agile, value-based contract: Schuberg Philis completely rewrote their outsourcing contracts for incremental software value delivery. A huge step forward in finding the balance between predictability, change and value for money.

    SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (Candidate) at Blinklane & thought leader ‘Agile in Control’

    Critical roles are often forgotten in Lean-Agile transformations, like (Business) controllers. We're not always as inclusive as we should be. This anti-pattern leads to less robust systems. Systems that might not hold in the next economic recession.

     

    Andres is pointing out a threat to any agile transformation. But Andres is also offering a solution. His topic contributes directly to the theme of this year's conference. How to protect, sustain and further grow your agile practice.

     

    Ndres inspired/trained hundreds of controllers/auditors, defining new ways to create grip in the Agile workspace and implementing Agile performance measurement (KPI's & Transformation Dashboards).

    Arthur von Kriegenbergh (Master Class Trainer)

    Agile Coach. Design Sprint Facilitator.

    Helping teams collaborate effectively to deliver impactful products since 2009, Arthur von Kriegenbergh is a freelance Agile Coach and Design Sprint facilitator.

     

    Arthur facilitated Design Sprints for organisations including De Consumentenbond (Dutch Consumer Association), BMW, and ING. Also, he ran Design Sprints with 200 high school students at the same time.

     

    Complementing his four-week online training on becoming a Design Sprint facilitator yourself, Arthur offers a Master Class on Design Sprints on Friday, September 27th.

    Option 1 | How to use Design Sprints to give your agile teams wings​

    Guessing is no longer good enough for agile teams, you need to have solutions that actually solves customer's problems. But how can you figure this out for new projects?

     

    Design Sprint are the fastest way to validate your assumptions through prototyping and testing with real end users. See if your next project is actually worth building in just four days. Don't wast months off time, invest only a week.

     

    The Design Sprint is a pressure cooker, it feels like a four-day hackathon. On day 1 you start mapping and sketching out the problem, and define the questions you want to answer during the week. Day 2 is decision day, and you focus on the best solutions to prototype. During day 3 you rapidly build the high-fidelity prototype, which you use to validate our assumptions on day 4.

     

    After this Master Class you know how a Design Sprint helps an agile team get from strategy to execution in just four days. You worked with fellow participants to understand why the recipe works. Also, you can apply Design Sprint elements to your regular meetings. Making them more effective and fun at the same time.

    You wouldn’t expect it, walking around the small street Nes, the cultural main street of Amsterdam. An impressively high room of 200 m² (over 2000 square feet), constructed of steel and rough white plaster. Industrial, fresh, sturdy and with an obvious love for design and history.

    Cancellation

    Leading up to the event, please note our following refund and cancellation Policy:

    • If you cancel before May 31 2019, you will be refunded your registration fee less a 10% administrative processing fee
    • If you cancel on or after June 01 2019, but before July 31 2019, you will be refunded 50% of your registration fee
    • If you cancel on or after August 01 2019 but before August 31, 2019, you will be refunded 25% of your registration fee
    • If you cancel on or after September 01 2019, you will not be eligible for a refund

    At all times you are able to transfer your registration to someone else. Please contact us so that we can maintain our files.

    The Open Space was ideal for people to connect on a more intimate level. They share the same passion for a topic, real issues were discussed and connections are made for for life. At the same time we ran a series of talks parallel for those who did not want to participate in the Open Space.

    The theme was Agile Leadership. Our general consensus is that the companies are still run top-down with little agility, while the staff executing the work are really trying to work agile. This leads to contradictions.
